Central Ohio Football Officials Association

COFOA Announcements

Act of God Clause In the event that circumstances beyond the control of the Central Ohio Football Officials Association preclude the association or the Executive Committee from conducting business for the duration of a football season, the year of operation may be suspended and all operations, meetings, membership requirements, collections of dues, officer appointments, and obligations shall carry over into the succeeding year of operation. Circumstances giving rise to the suspension of a football season shall include, but are not limited to: Acts of God; war; national pandemics; government curfews or prohibitions on activity; suspension or termination of activities by Ohio High School Athletic Association; or other contingencies the occurrence of which renders operation of the association impossible.

2020 Continuation Clause Whereas the COVID-19 pandemic has swept the nation and ended all operations of the Central Ohio Football Officials Association for the 2020 football season, all business, budgets, officer and committee appointments will carry over into 2021, at which point business will continue as otherwise dictated by the constitution and by-laws.

COFOA will NOT be having any Local Meetings this season. OHSAA will be offering virtual educational opportunities which will equal meeting credits. These sessions will be made available by OHSAA to view for a 7-day window, much like online State Meetings. More information will be coming in the next few weeks.
